Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College invites you to get on the fast track into college and on to the career you’ve always wanted this month during special outreach sessions in Santee and Holly Hill.
OCtech faculty and staff will take the college’s new Fast Track initiative on the road Monday and Tuesday, July 10-11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Santee Cultural Arts and Visitors Center in Santee and Thursdays, July 13 and 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Holly Hill Town Center in Holly Hill.
These sessions are the perfect opportunity to talk with admissions counselors, hear about the college’s diverse programs-old-old-old-old, interact with state-of-the-art technology used in the classrooms, get help filling out the FAFSA and apply for fall semester.
“Orangeburg and Calhoun counties are on the verge of unprecedented economic growth,” President Dr. Walt Tobin said. “Volvo’s presence in Berkeley County will drive the development of automotive suppliers in our area. The latest announcement of Wanli Tire coming to Orangeburg County is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s been projected that nearly 10,000 new jobs could come to the region over the next five years. Those jobs will be not only in the manufacturing sector – we will see tremendous growth in education, healthcare, law enforcement, business, logistics and other career fields as a result of aerospace and automotive companies and their corresponding supplier network making their home in this region of South Carolina. OCtech is THE place to get ready for those jobs.”
