CNC Machine Operator Basics

This program starts August 14.

This course provides the basic knowledge and skills required for individuals seeking entry-level employment as a CNC (computer numerical control) machine operator in a machine shop or manufacturing facility. The course includes the theoretical and practical aspects of writing manual numerical control programs-old-old-old-old. Included is coding formats, preparatory functions, miscellaneous functions, and point-to-point and continuous path programming with emphasis on developing programs-old-old-old-old for three axis machine tools. This course prepares the student for practical programming assignments and is designed to give actual hands-on experience in the setting up and operation of CNC machining and turning centers.

Scholarships are available for qualified applicants.
