Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College has received $64,000 from Apprenticeship Carolina to train new and current employees at local industries.
AB Construction Group LLC will use the grant funds for commercial driver’s license training, Allied Air Enterprises for electrical skill building and Orangeburg County Emergency Medical Services for emergency medical technician instruction.
“At OCtech, we are committed to meeting the workforce needs of our community while helping individuals gain the skills and certifications that lead to stronger career opportunities,” Associate Vice President of Academic and Workforce Development Dr. Stephanie Dauway said. “This grant from Apprenticeship Carolina allows us to partner with local employers to deliver targeted training that strengthens businesses, supports economic growth and changes lives through education.”
