The Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Practical Nursing program held a virtual pinning ceremony for its traditional and FLEX PN Class of 2020 on Thursday, Aug. 6.
During the ceremony, 68 practical nursing graduates were pinned by loved ones via Zoom. Keynote speaker was Rhonda Browning, PN instructor at the college.
Honored for outstanding academic achievement were Kayla Baker, who earned the highest GPA in the traditional class, and Candice Chase, who earned the highest GPA in the FLEX class. Earning the second-highest GPAs were Christy Howard in the traditional class and Tika Sumpter in the FLEX class. Honored with the Leadership Award were traditional student Chasity Seabrooks and FLEX student Fletcher Battle.
