We are glad you chosen us to continue your education. If you’ve taken courses at another college or university, transferring to OCtech is easy. Follow these steps.

Transferring to the college

NOTE: In order to transfer credit, a grade of “C” or better must have been earned in the course from a nationally or regionally accredited college or institution of higher learning.

Applying online is easy and convenient.  You can complete your application online.

Complete a Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA). 
Visit our Apply for Financial Aid page to begin. Available financial assistance includes grants, loans, scholarships and South Carolina Lottery Tuition Assistance.

Once we receive your FAFSA, our financial aid staff will determine the financial benefits available to you, including Lottery Tuition Assistance.

Admissions testing is essential to determining your successful academic plan. Contact the Admissions Office prior to taking the placement test.

  • Submit your SAT, ACT, WorkKeys or ACCUPLACER test scores.
  • If you do not have these scores, the ACCUPLACER can be taken for free through OCtech’s Testing Center.

We give ACCUPLACER tests via our Virtual Testing Center and in-person by appointment.

Submit your high school transcript as well any college transcripts you may have completed at another college.

Register for classes

You’ll need to meet with an advisor before you can register for classes.  Your advisor will help design a plan to get you to graduation and help you with any questions you may have about your student accounts, scheduling, etc.
